Overview
In the early 1930’s Karl Zener designed a set of cards to test extra sensory perception. Commonly known today as ESP cards, it isn’t uncommon for modern mentalists to have a set or two laying around. Unfortunately, unless one is performing close-up, the standard poker sized ESP cards are too small for parlor and stage. In addition to the cards being too small, if they are marked (which most are) the markings are too difficult to read. If you are inclined to use ESP cards in your performance and need large sized cards for parlor and stage, you can’t go wrong with Vernet’s Jumbo ESP Card set. Effect
A pack of ESP cards is shuffled face down. A spectator is asked to cards a stack off and look at the bottom card. They are now asked to repeat the symbol in their mind over and over again. The mentalist divines the thought of symbol. This and dozens of other routines are easily performed with Vernet’s Jumbo ESP deck.Method
The Jumbo ESP Card deck is a utility item. As alluded to before, the backs of the cards a cleverly marked so one can concentrate on performance without struggling to see the markings. Depending on the routine there may be none or minor sleight of hand such as a false shuffle. Product Quality
The cards provided are printed on plastic and very sturdy but they also have a nice tactile feel to them, to the touch they feel like smooth velvet. The markings a very clear and unless one knows where to look, more than likely they will pass cursory inspection during a routine. The instructional video is 30 minutes long and provide several routines to get you started. Ad Copy Integrity
The ad copy although simple is accurate. Personally, I was very pleased with the quality of the cards.
