This is the third in the Acting Naturally trilogy from Allen Zingg. I thought the volume on coin magic was excellent, but not so happy about the volume on cards. Allen has restored my faith with this last volume in the series.

This DVD covers only four main routines, plus some extra care sleights in the bonus section.

The Tibetan Wishing Box was a marketed item released by the author. Lucky for you, it didn't require any specially-prepared props. You can find a little box that will work almost anywhere. This DVD covers Allen's script, the handling and the thoughts behind the development of the routine.

Next you'll find two versions of the Egyptian Ball Mystery. Many stage and parlor magicians throughout history have performed this classic effect. I preferred Allen's first version and felt the second version had too many moves that simply weren't “natural” when having a table at your disposal (as he does in the performance).

I particularly enjoyed the Imagination chapter. Whether or not you like the routine, the process he's gone through to create the routine is a good lesson (or reminder) for us all.

As with the other volumes of this set, I couldn't give it a perfect score because the video production and editing could have been better. But the quality of the material is certainly worth your money.
