They price control their dealers which harm them in a couple ways. For one, they can't raise the price, if they aren't making enough margin on a particular product. Secondly, they can't REDUCE the price to get rid of things that won't sell. I've talked to a few dealers who no longer deal with Viking because they can get the same products at cheaper prices from people who aren't so controlling. It's a shame.

If you are willing to pay for quality, this is the place to shop. You will get fast replies to your mails and help when you need it. This is not to say that Viking cannot make a mistake: their absolutely great Geneva Prediction Watch styled like you inherited it from your granpa is marked "Quarz" which is like presenting a 1920 radio marked "all Transistor".
