Another time when I assumed that I knew how this was done. The apparatus surprised and disappointed me. It can be performed as described but it is a little tricky to first hide the rose before the production and rapidly have it assume the right structure. Sometimes I get it just right, other times I don't. More practice?????

The price is right - you do get a rather elaborate piece of apparatus - not nearly as simple as I had in mind.
