Overview
Passage is a very visual passing/penetration of one card through another that have be previously chosen and signed by your spectator. The cards can be shown the have the spectators initials on them roving that they are the same ones chosen by them earlier.
Effect
The Magician has the spectator randomly selects 2 cards from the deck and has them signed. Their is no force involved, they have a free choice of any 2 cards. The Magician places one on top of the other (face down) and then swivels the bottom one perpendicular to the top card. In a flash, the bottom card penetrates the one above it and is now completely above the top card. The cards are turned over to show that they are the same cards bearing your spectators initials. Both cards can be handed out for examination.Method
You receive a very well made gimmick that will do all the work for you. It is added to your deck of cards when you are ready to perform Passage. Once the 2 cards are selected and signed by your spectator, the gimmick will be added to them and the magic begins. There will be some work and practice involved in making this effect happen and look realistic. The 2 cards can be examined should you wish to hand them out to the spectator. Product Quality
The gimmick received is constructed using bicycle cards either red or blue depending on your order choice. The gimmick is very well made and you will also receive some extra ‘something' in case your gimmick breaks or you want to construct your own gimmick for any other brand/color of cards you typically use. In terms of longevity, the more you use it and how you use it will determine it's lifespan however you can always fix it or make another one.
Ad Copy Integrity
Well, not all is as explained in the ad or performed in the trailer, there are a lot of edits. Firstly, in the trailer it shows Anthony walking up to the spectator with a deck of cards in the box and then is shown spreading the cards having his spectator removing 2 cards to be signed. The gimmick cannot be in the box, it would have to be added ‘after' the cards are removed. Secondly it shows him taking the 2 cards from the spectator and immediately performing Passage - this cannot be done as shown - another edit. Thirdly, once the penetration is done, he hands the cards back to the spectator to examine - this also cannot be done - again another edit. As per the ad It is not really as easy and simple as it says but will it astound your audience. Can it be handed out for examination, yes but not without some moves that I don’t feel are casual and totally undetectable. You will receive a password protected link to the 10 minute tutorial that can be downloaded but here is a major setback - Anthony is speaking Spanish with English subtitles which are very small (white lettering on an orange background) and hard to read. If you on trying to learn this on a phone, forget it. It was also very small on my laptop so had to use my large monitor on full screen. As he talks very fast, the subtitles pass very quickly as well. I found it tremendously difficult trying to learn the intricate moves needed while trying to read/follow the instructions. I was a constantly having to rewind which I found very frustrating.Final Thoughts
This effect would be good for social media but cannot be presented live as per what you are made to believe in the trailer. It s not as easy and simples as described. The effect itself of one card passing through another is visually astounding - a 5 star, kudos to your Anthony but due the numerous comments I made above in Ad Integrity I am assigning it a 2.5 … sorry Anthony. For the price of $35 I would recommend you spending your hard earned money on something else.
