This new gimmick allows you to appear many coins from your cell phone.

The trick is very accurate.

It is operated manually, that is, they fall at the will of the magician. It can be connected to any cell phone and is easy to splice. The load capacity is 6 half dollar coins and the mobile application is free to download.

Note: Original app free for Android, iPhone app available for purchase through the app store. Coin cascade function is only for Android.

Overview

There is so much App magic these days, I sometimes wonder about two things. The first is whether or not it actually fools people, and the second is whether or not it is “real magic”. Ostensibly, anyone who purchases the App automatically becomes “a magician”. There is no sleight of hand, no practice (to speak of), can be done without scripting and lastly no experience. Aside from how I may feel about Apps and magic, it is here and it is here to stay. Super Coin 2.0 is not an App in itself but a gimmick that attaches to your phone that can be used with an App to transform a digitized half dollar to a real half dollar.

Effect

You show a Kennedy half dollar on your phone and how you can move it about on the screen. With a quick downward swipe, the digitized half dollar appears in your hand. Up to six half dollars can be produced this way. If phone magic is not your thing then luckily, Super Coin 2.0 can be attached to anything that a magnet attracts to create the same effects. One such item can be a coin pail for Miser’s Dream.

Method

Super Coin 2.0 is a 3D printed coin holder that is manually operated to drop coins when wanted. It is basically a coin holder in which you control the drop with the pressure of a finger. Up to six half dollars can be dropped when you want. What makes Super Coin 2.0 a bit different is that most if not all coin droppers have to be worn on a belt and hidden under a shirt or jacket. Super Coin 2.0 can be attached to the back of a phone and placed on and off at will. Of course, the same goes for anything the magnet will stick to.

Product Quality

The item is 3D printed and is fairly well thought out and made. The one I received was glued a bit sloppily but this didn’t affect the performance. Once loaded, the coins will fall out on their own if finger pressure is not applied to keep them in place. This is a manual operation and there is no push button release. The video instruction is without any verbal direction and is only five minutes long. The video covers the basics very quickly and is not very fleshed out but as for a general placement and operation it is clear enough. It would have been nice if more focus was placed on instruction. At the time of the release the App it is designed to work with is free for Android users and available for purchase for IPhone users but this may have changed.

Ad Copy Integrity

The ad copy is fairly clear as to what you will receive and delivers as advertised.
