An amazing close up mentalism routine that you can carry in your pocket or wallet!

Photographs have been used for decades in remote viewing experiments. In some of these experiments, one subject is in a room looking at a randomly selected photo, while another subject sits in another room and tries to describe details about the first subject's photo.

The National Institute of Parapsychology has done extensive testing in this area, and they've found that some images were more successfully remote viewed than others. Some of these images had a higher success rate when the image appeared in color, while others were more successful in black and white.

Interestingly, it was found that the photographs themselves weren't as important as the imagery associated with the photos, and merely visualizing a particular target from a list could result in successful tests. In fact, they now use targets from a list of 24 images that have been the most successful in these tests.

The participant mentally selects one of these targets and is asked to imagine that they are looking at a photograph of the target in either color or black and white. After a short three phase visualization process, the performer amazingly starts to reveal details about participants' target. The performer then names the target the participant merely thought of!

Re-View can be performed for multiple spectators at once or one on one.

The method here has not been used on any of the previous Mental Voyage Test Cards. It is extremely deceptive yet as simple as can be.

Re-View is a two card set. The routine is flexible, and you can easily perform the routine with just one card, but with the second card, you'll have different options in terms of method and presentation.

With Re-View you will be ready for a remote viewing demonstration anytime!

The following is true about Re-View:Twenty four different target itemsExtremely deceptive methodNo progressive anagramsNo dual realityNo memory workGreat presentation possibilitiesDurable plastic cardsYou'll get 2 plastic cards and downloadable PDF instructions.

Overview

Mathematics has been used in magic since magic began. From the overt display of intellect such as in a magic square routine to the covert use of the binary code system in the well known but often dismissed Magic Age Cards.
Re-View by Paul Carnazzo is one of his many pocketable mentalism projects which will allow you to recreate the impression of a Remote Viewing experience. If you are unfamiliar with Remote Viewing, it is a concept whereby someone looks at or thinks of a location and telepathically sends that image to someone a distance away. The idea is that properly done, the receiver would be able to “see” the location or image the sender is thinking about. Other mentalists have tried, somewhat successfully, to plant an image in someone’s mind linguistically but the location possibilities where extremely narrow and the success rate marginal. Re-View is a sure fire Remote Viewing demonstration if you can handle basic math under the pressure of performance.

Effect

A participant is given two official looking plastic cards issued by The National Institute of Parapsychology. On one is a list of 24 well known images around the world and beyond. They are asked to think of one, a location they may have personally seen would even be better. They comply and then are asked to find that item on three other sides of the two cards. They may or may not, but if they do imagine as a color photo or black and white photo. The performer “intuits” whether they are seeing that image as a black and white or color image. This is done three times. After the third exercise the mentalist reveals their thought of place.

Method

If you had read through my Overview, you would already deduce that this is a mathematically based routine. If you fear mathematics or instinctively recoil at the idea of addition, bear in mind that into today’s cell phone world “innumeracy” or the inability to perform any math at all, is rampant in today’s society. So, the idea that you are using mathematics to read their minds will never dawn on them. In addition, if you feel you would not like to go through the process three times, there is also a one card version as well which would require a bit of fishing.

Product Quality

What you receive are two durable plastic cards. The cards are actually plastic and not laminated paper. I personally do not appreciate it when the claim is made that an item is plastic and it turns out that it is laminated paper stock. Laminated paper stock does not hold up in a wallet and wears very quickly. Rest assured these cards will last. The cards have a “psychology lab look” and may look suspect to some but will probably be accepted by most. The instructions are 31 pages in PDF form and goes through the process and sites some examples as well. Naturally, there will be a bit to remember but if you are used to doing anagrams and or other mathematical algorithms, this shouldn’t be a challenge. IF YOU DO NOT LIKE expending any mental effort I recommend you pass on purchasing this. For those that do put in the effort, you will be rewarded with something that 95% of the “mentalists” will not be doing. The only negative I could think of is that it would have been nice to have some live performances to watch to get a grasp on the timing and subtleties this would require.

Ad Copy Integrity

If you have been involved in mentalism for a while you more than likely would be familiar with this kind of process. As I have studied binary coded routines, calendar algorithms and magic squares, I have yet to see this particular methodology before. It is similar too but a bit more involved than the Magic Age Cards. I would argue the claim that no memory work is involved. It is true that there are “visual outs” in clear view in the design of the cards but to be dependent on those would hamper the performance.
