Back again with a second helping of Outlaw Effects goodness. Once again the master of wallets Tony Curtis took on the task of recreating one of the mentalism communities favorite wallets. Made to Tony's super high standards the Hideout V2 is an amazing piece of awesomeness that you will carry with you every day!
Disguised as an everyday bill-fold wallet, the Hideout V2 is a powerhouse full of hidden pockets and even has a very sneaky peek built in.

It's a regular full size bi-fold hip pocket wallet. It is made from high quality leather to Tony Curtis's exacting standards.
1. Its primary functions are multiple outs/indexing and built in peek!
2. This wallet has twenty pockets, two of them gaffed for the built-in peek, eight pockets that are "hidden" and they're not in the bill compartment. The bill compartment is not gaffed.
3. It has pockets that are wide enough to hold business cards, credit cards, Kioku cards, Psi Cards etc. Nine pockets of the twenty are deep enough to completely conceal a playing card.
4. It can be set up as a switching wallet. The wallet duplicates itself (don't ask).
5. The billfold compartment is deep enough to easily hold British currency (the wide stuff).
6. There are hidden pockets that can hold playing cards, be used for indexing, multiple outs, KK routines etc.
7. There is a built in self-contained outlaw peek function inside the wallet!
8. It is so simple yet so devious.
9. A devastating addition to your arsenal!
It is the father of all intimidating destroyers! (Not sure what that means, but it sounds cool!)

Overview
The Hideout Wallet V2 by Outlaw Effect and Alakazam Magic is a great magic wallet that let's you perform amazing effects and also use it to carry your credit cards and your bills. The wallet can be carried everyday, but I believe that it is a bit too large, certainly by today's standards, and it may draw some comments.The actual wallet when closed in 4.5 inches by 4 inches. It has some great built in secret that let's you read minds in the most amazing way. With this wallet you can switch items, use an index and peek very easily.
There is a special ID compartment that allows you to peek at something written down by your spectator, but you need to be very careful of angles when doing so. Also, because of a locking mechanism that permits you to easily switch items such as bills and billets, I would not want to hand out the wallet to a spectator.
As I said above, the wallet is large. Years ago (and decades ago) magic wallets were very large, but with the change in style, fashion and dress, these types of wallets are less common. That does not mean that you wont fool the heck out of people with the routines presented on the DVD.
If this wallet was more current in look and size, I would have given it a 5 out of 5 and I do not think there is anything preventing Alakazam from releasing V3... well guys? I do need to say that the wallet can hold cards in its many credit card pockets (8 per side) in landscape (left to right) as opposed to up and down. It is super easy to load something to be peeked into the wallet and the peek is also very easy to get, but in the right environment and angles. There is a "cloaking" gimmick that if used in the wrong environment will get you busted super fast, just be careful with it.
Notwithstanding the comments above about the size, I will carry this wallet when I am wearing a sport coat or suit jacket in an inner pocket. I will not carry the wallet in my pants pockets due to its size. I like the fact that this can be an every day wallet.
Effect
There are many effects with this magic wallet, using index, switching, making predictions. You have multiple outs and a super way to access different billets if you so choose. For some of the effects, such as certain predictions i.e. a serial number prediction, you will need to be set up in advance (no biggie).Method
There are several methods built into the wallet depending upon the routine that you are performing. I like the switch routine the best, I like the multiple outs second and the peek come in third place due to the limitations alluded to above and the possibility to get busted.Product Quality
The wallet is built well and the utility device aspects are also excellent. Maybe the locking function could be a bit stronger, but it is still very good quality.You can use this as your every day wallet.
The instructional DVD, taught by Peter Nardi, is well done, to the point and easy to follow. The routines are easy to perform
