It's effortless, fail-proof, and there's no sleight of hand.
It's a powerful card prediction effect that will always be ready in your pocket.

Prospect is one of a batch of new releases from B.C. based magic company, SansMinds. It is a one card Brainwave effect that can be performed just about anywhere. The performer shows the back of a playing card and places it in his pocket. Through their imagination, the assistant makes choices about what cards to discard. After identifying the color and the number all is left is the suit. The participant names it and the performer shows the card to be a match to the mental selection.
For the asking price, you receive a nicely produced DVD and three gimmicked cards. As most have already speculated, the DVD focuses on the Equivoque technique required to arrive at a successful conclusion. The explanation is adequate and should help most complete the effect. However, I would recommend that you get a deeper grounding in the methodology through Phil Goldstein's Verbal Control: A Treatise on the Under-Explored Art of Equivoque; Technique and Applications or seek out the Dani DaOrtiz column in the September 2012 issue of Genii. Equivoque is easy to understand and easy to perform transparently.
All in all, Prospect is a nice, well packaged effect. My caveat is that its not new. One card Brainwave type effects have been around for a long time. For more than a half-century, many have developed methods for Brainwave type effects with less than a full deck. Vernon, Marlo, Goldstein, Fulves and others have tread this path. SansMinds has a credit section on the DVD but there is not a single credit to be found.
