PROS
Such a powerful effect with such a simple and devious gimmick. The gimmick is easily added to a regular deck of cards and won’t interfere with using a normal ungimmicked deck before or after the routine.
CONS
It’s hard to come up with any concerns about this one. It is a simple gimmick, you are left with a regular deck at the end of the routine, and the instruction is very good.
In the suggestion, I propose a slight change to the presentation that I think will improve the flow.
Magic is all about motivation. Here is one little change in the routine can make a huge difference:
Ask the participant to think of a card. Ask the participant to place their hand on your shoulder. Ask them to place their other hand on another participant’s shoulder. Spread the cards face down. Ask the second participant to run their finger along the face down spread and stop on one card. Take the card and place it in the box in the way described in the DVD. This way, nobody knows what card was selected and placed in the box. When the participant reveals their thought of card, you can now spread through the deck and say: “I don’t see your card… is it… possible…?”

There is one awkward moment in the presentation. He asks the participant to think of a card. He then spreads through the cards to himself and selects his prediction, which he places in the card box. The participant reveals their thought of card and then for no good reason, he spreads through the deck again, perhaps to show the card isn’t in the deck, but only the performer is seeing the cards.Magic is all about motivation.
