For $25 bucks you get one effect. Is it a good effect? That, as always, I leave up to you the reader. What I will tell you is whether or not the effect is what it claims to be. In a nutshell: it is.
Ad Copy
Everything the advertisement claims is true. First, no deck of cards is used. The card really is just thought of in the spectator's mind. The prediction (your wallet) is in plain site from the beginning. There are no funny moves, switches, etc. A+ for 100% accurate ad copy.
Effect/Method
So if the ad copy is legitimate, the only question remaining (in my mind) is "is the method legit?" I mean if the method were that you used a stooge every time, I'd say that it's not a reasonable method. However, the method in this case is very legitimate. It's a very simple verbal technique that is pretty much sure fire. Through your Spokenwords, you are able to manipulate the outcome.
The spectator will really feel as though they had a free choice, because essentially, they do. This is a combination of 2 main principles that work nicely together. And everything is in your wallet and can be kept there all the time so you're ready to go anytime anywhere.
Two basic methods are taught. One (the one advertised) is done with no deck of cards whatsoever. The second version (and the version I would personally use) actually does use a deck of cards. The reason I prefer the deck version is that it masks the method a bit more. Plus with the deck version, you can give them the deck of cards, have them mix it, and have them chose a card and shuffle it back into the deck. You never touch the deck.
There are pros and cons to each method, and I imagine that the more pure mentalists in the group will prefer the non-deck version.
Final Thoughts
This effect does require you to carry 6 playing cards in your wallet. That may be a turn off for some. For the effect that you can do - you think of a card, and I've predicted it - I think that's a pretty small price to pay. I truly believe that the method is deceptive and very doable with little practice.
All in all this is a solid effect with an excellent and legitimate method. I do think, however, that $25 for one effect with no extra props or gimmicks is a tad on the expensive side for today's market. Other than that, I have no complaints about this product.
Final Verdict:
