A card is then selected from the pack and the magician removes a sheet of clear acetate from the envelope. But printed on the acetate is not one, but instead NINE different cards. Admitting that he didn't commit to his prediction quite as much as he might have, he asks the spectator if she sees the card she is thinking of among the nine cards printed on the acetate. She says, "Yes."
Then while the spectator holds the clear sheet between the palms of her own hands, the image of her card disappears. And when the pack is examined, her selected card has also disappeared!
This powerful two-climax effect is precisely the kind of magic and mentalism combination that HITS PEOPLE HARD on many levels!
You can have the selected card completely disappear OR even have just the face of the card vanish, leaving the card BLANK! It's your choice (depending upon your magic style) and everything you need is included with the DVD!
This very fresh combination of magic and mentalism is also beautifully self-contained. Everything fits inside a single small envelope! It's a classic example of 'packing flat and playing BIG!'
The Disappearance rocks when performed 1-on-1, but between selecting the card, holding the cards, and holding the clear sheet you can also get SEVERAL people directly involved in THE IMPOSSIBLE EVENT!
Along with many different handlings you will also learn devious full deck and small packet card forces, switches and false counts!
As an ADDED BONUS Jay also teaches the Allerton Switch and the Topper Palm (two of his favorite 'underground sleights') in rare detail.
- Completely self-working!
- SUPER visual mental effect!
- Repeat the same effect with a DIFFERENT CARD!
- Includes astonishing handlings for all skill levels! Even easy handlings for you to be able to end the routine and have EVERYTHING EXAMINED!
Comes complete with special clear sheet, envelope, Bicycle brand playing cards and a full-length instructional DVD!
Running Time Approximately 1hr 20min

Jay Sankey’s ability to churn out magic videos is mind boggling. The Disappearance is a trick that involves not only the disappearance of a selected playing card but also the apparent vanish of a receipt for their selected card. It has a double climax that makes for a surprising and very puzzling effect. Jay also supplies you with all the materials you will need.
Jay Sankey’s teaching is top rate as he takes you through each step of the effect to include nice subtleties and performance tips. If that’s not enough he even give you multiple ideas and methods for the trick. Even if you do not perform this trick, you will learn some ideas and concept that can be brought to other tricks that you perform.
Jay Sankey’s enthusiasm and quest for through teaching makes this DVD fun to watch. I enjoyed his ramblings and quirkiness as he continually gives you ideas to make you a better performer not only with this trick but any trick you do.
Even if you decide that this trick is not for you, it would be hard to believe that you will not enjoy watching and learning this effect. I am not a fan of the one trick DVD’s but all one trick DVD’s went into the detail that Jay Sankey does with this one, I could learn to love them.
