As a tech geek, I simply had to review this item. I really wish I could tell you what it is, but that's not now magic reviews work (at least not how my magic reviews work).
The "main" effect is basically Banachek's Psych Touch, but done completely "hands off". You're relying on technology to take care of the method. There are two other effects demoed and explained. One is a spirit bell routine that's very clean, but the bell can only ring once. The second is a psychological "freak out". You have someone visualize a childhood outing wherein they feel a wasp land on their shoulder.
As you have probably guessed, this is really a utility device. It didn't take me long to start dreaming up other uses for it.
The creator has done something very interesting with the instructions. Instead of printed instructions or a DVD, you login to a website and download a PDF and several video files. At first, I was a bit annoyed by this, but have decided it's a really good idea. Why bother with the cost of a DVD or printed instructions?
I do have one concern about the technology. Unfortunately, it's not something I can verify. There is a remote control component to the device. As anyone who's worked with remote devices knows, the frequency and coding of the signal is very important. There are a lot of signals traveling the airwaves and it's very easy to get interference if your remote device isn't properly protected. If anyone has a chance to test this in lots of venues, please write a review and let us know how it goes.
Of course, there's always the issue of the batteries going bad in the middle of a show. But that's a risk you take with any electronic device.
